Our API responds with a simple "PASS:1" or "PASS:0" for each image you submit however our core feature is in the additional image tags we pass back to you with each image. The image tags allow you to not only keep or delete the photo but react differently based on its content.
For example while other services will let you know if a photo contains nudity we provide another tag "Mildly sexual" to help identify content that while is not nude may be unsuitable for certain audiences. Full definitions of each image tag are available below.
This tag defines images which include nudity (visible genitals, female nipples or completely unclothed buttocks) as well as images which are highly provocative featuring adult toys or explicit acts making the photos unsuitable for viewing by minors. If the shape of a penis or cameltoe is clearly visible in the image such as under a towel / sheer clothing / thin underwear then it is tagged as verysexual. This also applies to digitally created or drawn content, and includes artistic content such as sculptures or portraits.
Content which is sexual in nature but not explicit. Examples include hand-bra, simulated sexual acts with no nudity such as sex toy in mouth, full nude subjects with no visible sexual areas (obscured or edited out).
Content with a sexual theme or where clothed sexual areas are the main focus of the image - such as zoomed in on cleavage or a man grabbing his crotch even though no visible penis/scrotum. As above this applies to digital/drawn content also. Content in this category is acceptable to major app store policies.
The image has an advertising/promotional theme such as a photo of a house with a link to a property website, photos of makeup with prices, a URL only, or an image directing someone to another website.
Content featuring alcohol consumption, promotion, or alcoholic products.
Content featuring narcotic drug use, or drugs. This can include messages promoting drug use. Exceptions are tobacco, medication.
Gambling activity or imagery promoting gambling
This tag covers many images that would generally be deemed offensive to an audience. This can include photos containing racist themes, defamatory/inflammatory content, violence in a non-sporting context (i.e. a man with a bloody nose in a boxing match is ok but a man with a bloody nose in a street riot is not). This also covers crude content such as gore, and pictures that provoke a disgusted reaction.
Content that some may consider politically sensitive or religiously sensitive.
An image which appears broken such as all solid color or large parts of the image corrupted beyond the low quality tag
Very dark images where the subject is not clearly visible as well as blurry photos, pixellated images, overly exposed photos, images with large amounts of modification such as stickers added to the point where the human subject is not clearly visible.
As above but for images that need to be vertically flipped.
Image is intended to be rotated clockwise. If someone is lying down for a sideways shot then the image is not rotated as it was intended as a sideways photo.
Image is intended to be rotated counter-clockwise. As above if the image was intended to be shot at an angle or on the side then it will not be tagged.
This tag aims to identify photos clearly containing children. To keep false positives low our staff will tag images as child where there is someone clearly 15 or under in the photo.
This tag applies to anything non-human such as animals, scenery, food photos as well as photos where there is no clear human subject - a crowd for example or a large group of people where the subject is not marked
No human face is clearly visible in the photo. Glasses/shades are ok providing the rest of the face is visible. If less than 50% of the face is visible this tag is applied. If no eyes then this tag is automatically applied.
Ntu defines images which are clearly celebrities or images taken from popular websites. This keyword is designed to remove fake photos from social apps although lesser known celebrities or more normal looking stolen photos may not always be identified with this tag. Generally if this tag is present then it is almost certain the user is fake.
